La Habra Business Connection as a B2B Business Social Networking Group: If you do not want to just expand your sphere of influence & obtain pre-qualified sales leads, but you also want to develop marketing & leadership skills, long-term relationships, & network associates, then La Habra Business might be for you. La Habra Business Connection is open to many businesses operating in and around the city of La Habra, California. The true strength of this group lies in its cohesive united front developed through many business and social interactions.The following excerpts are from the La Habra Business Connection Guidelines and By-Laws:
MISSION STATEMENT: It is the goal of the members of La Habra Business Connection (LHBC) to generate both internal and external leads for its fellow members.
MEETING TIME AND PLACE: The La Habra Business Connection meets every Wednesday morning at the La Habra Community Center (Click link for map) on the corner of La Habra Boulevard and Euclid St at 101 W. La Habra Blvd. Meetings begin promptly at 7:30 A.M. and adjourn at 8:30 A.M. Members are encouraged to benefit themselves by arriving early to network, i.e. 7:15 A.M. If a meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting will be canceled for that week.
BUSINESS/PROFESSIONAL CATEGORIES: Upon joining the LHBC, each member must declare a primary category. Members have exclusive rights to the primary category they choose. At no additional charge, a member may declare a secondary category as long as it is not in conflict with a category that is already declared by an existing member as primary or secondary. However, they will be required to concede that category in the event a new member joins and requests that category as their primary category.
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
1. Attendance of one meeting as a guest of a member.
2. Completion of membership application and approval by membership committee.
3. $40 membership fee (includes $20 monthly dues and $20 initiation fee).
4. Note: A member of LHBC is not considered an individual member of the La Mirada or La Habra Chamber of Commerce.
GUESTS:
1. Members are encouraged to invite individuals who have the potential to become members. A guest counts as one lead for the member. The guest will receive breakfast, courtesy of the club, on their first visit.
2. In order to protect each member's category, members are requested to invite only those guests who do not present a conflict with categories already represented in the club.
SPEAKERS/EXHIBITIONS:
1. Each member will be given an opportunity to be a speaker in rotating order.
2. Speakers will begin at 7:40 A.M. and are to be completed by no later than 8:10 A.M.
3. Speakers are encouraged to use this time to display/exhibit and promote their businesses to the fullest extent.
4. Guest speakers require prior approval from the membership at large under the direction of the vice president.
5. Be courteous while the speaker has the floor. This is his/her time to communicate to the membership. Refrain from talking with your neighbor and listen attentively. The speaker may have some very useful information or ideas that may benefit you or you may know someone that the information and ideas may benefit.
Board Members and Committees:
Board members consist of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, & Membership Chairperson. Committees are appointed by the board and include the Social Committee. Voting occurs every six months to fill the Board of Directors.
